James Henry McInnis, 81, of Monroe, NC, received his eternal healing on Sunday morning, April 3, 2016. James was born October 10, 1934 in Hartsville, S.C. to Roland Curtis McInnis and Loma Courtney McInnis. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and then had a career in the life insurance sales field, retiring from Independent Life. James was predeceased by his parents and brother, Harry McInnis. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Jean McInnis; son, Rick McInnis (Vicky) of Monroe; grandchildren, Daniel S. McInnis (Jennifer) of Burlington, NC, Erica G. Mullins (Andrew) of Haughton, LA, Rebecca F. Barr (Bobby) of Thomasville, NC; great-grandchildren, Quinn McInnis, Charlie Barr and Judah McInnis. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at New Salem Baptist Church, 2915 Goldmine Rd., Monroe, NC from 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. with the funeral following at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC. Memorials may be made in memory of James to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110 or to The Gideons International Memorial Bible Fund.
