James Mitchell Mills, 47, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021. He was born December 29, 1973 the son of Ruby Starnes Harris and the late James Kenneth Mills. Visitation for Mitchell will be Saturday, April 3, 11:00-11:45AM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe NC 28112. The funeral will be held at 12:00PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 2348 US-601, Pageland, SC 29728. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Quates, Eric Sherrin, Derek Harris, Corey Harris, George Clyburn and Curtis Watkins. Mitchell was a lifelong truck driver. He loved music, playing his guitar, drag racing and motor cycles. He especially loved spending time with his family and adored his daughter, Kayla with a passion. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving daughter, Kayla Madison Mills of Jefferson, SC; four brothers, Ronnie Quates of New Mexico, James Kevin Mills of Pageland, SC, Jesse Emmette and Robert Mills, both of Monroe, NC.; one sister, Jessica Mills of Pageland, SC; Godchildren, Avrionna Hough, Journey Hough and Joshua Hough.
