James “Jimmy” Milton Helms, age 74, passed away on June 21, 2026, at Hospice House in Monroe, NC.

Born on November 5, 1951, in Charlotte, NC. He proudly served in the United States Army and was honored to be a veteran.

James is survived by his brothers, Larry Helms of Monroe, NC, and Timothy Helms of Spartanburg, SC; and his sisters, Susan Bell of Spartanburg, SC, and Frances Helms of Spartanburg, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Mary Hinson, and his father, Eugene Helms.

In accordance with his wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Hospice House, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28112, in appreciation of the compassionate care provided during his final days.
