James Alvin Mungo, 51, died Monday, September 30, 2013. James was born in Monroe, NC March 19, 1962, son of James Henry and Loma Ann Davis Mungo. James was an inspector with Allvac since 1984. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives Friday, October 4, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mungo is survived by his wife, Linda Clyburn Mungo; sons, Alvin Jeahon Massey and wife Shaunda of Monroe, Derrick Jerome Mungo and wife Shaunda of Lancaster, James Brewer and wife Keisha of Rock Hill; daughters, Jackie Bernard and husband Derrel of Albuquerque, NM, Jametta Brewer of Monroe and Tanisha Brewer of Wingate; brothers, Michael Mungo and wife Beverly of Monroe, Tony C.
