James Randolph "J.R." Price

James Randolph Price, 81, of Monroe, NC passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. He was born in Union County, NC, on May 3, 1942, the son of the late Fairley Randolph Price and Lucy Austin Price. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Fairley Richard Price and Horace Mack Price, and one sister, Louie Cline Kesiah.

He was the owner and operator of J.R. Price Grading for over 37 years.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM, Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112, the funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Gordon Funeral Service. A private family only burial will follow.

J.R. is survived by his wife, Ruth Ross Price, and three sons, James Randolph Price II, wife Tracy Price, John Rossi Price, wife Michelle Price, and Julius Ryan Price, wife Lee Price, two sisters, Ann Price Moore and Alva Price Helms, four grandchildren, Ashlee Shepperd (Sam), James Price III, Lauren Price, Austin Price, and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Shepperd and Colton Shepperd.
