James Rodney McGuirt passed away December 31,2019 from this life to meet with his Heavenly Father with whom he had a daily relationship. Rodney was a loving kind son, brother and friend to many along his journey, always greeting with a smile. He was preceded in death by his step-father R.B. Mangum and brother-in-law Marion Funderburk. Rodney leaves behind his mother Hazel Starnes Mangum of Monroe, NC his sisters; Iris (Lee) Whiteside of Wilmington, NC Debby Funderburk of Wesley Chapel, NC his nephew Dr. Trey Whiteside III of Lexington, KY, father James Phillip McGuirt of Wesley Chapel, NC. Paster Eddie Price will lead the family in a Celebration of Life Service for Mr. McGuirt Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 12:00pm at Gordon Funeral Service 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.
