James Eric “Rick” Starnes, 72, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025. He was born in Union County, NC on August 21, 1952, son to the late James Wylie Starnes and Maxine Trull Starnes. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Starnes; and sister, Susan Starnes.

A memorial service to celebrate Rick’s life will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Gordon Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30PM - 2:45PM at Gordon Funeral Service & Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112.

Rick is survived by his brother, Steve Starnes; his children, Sean Starnes and his wife Gina, Joy Starnes, and Eric Starnes; as well as four grandchildren, Alesana, Delilah, Jack, and Hank.
