Jamie Lee Benton, 35, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017. He was born April 4, 1981 in Mecklenburg County. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Kenneth Bobbie Wilson, and paternal grandmother Evelyn H. Benton. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Benton Heights Presbyterian Church, 2701 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110. The family will receive friends following the service. Jamie is survived by his mother Cheryl W. Williams husband Gore of Monroe, his father James Loyd “Jim” Benton, Jr., paternal grandfather James Loyd “Lobby” Benton, Sr., a brother Chris Benton, wife Bridget, nephews; Kail Noah Benton, niece; Addison Benton, step brothers; Rodney Williams, and Andy Williams.
