Jane Ames Ketchum Miner

Jane Ames Ketchum Miner, age 86, passed away on Thursday, July 6th, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Elsie Ames; brothers, Robert and Donald Ames; daughter, Kelly Sturdevant; daughter-in-law, Nancy Ketchum; grandson, Justin Henningsen; and granddaughter, Erin Roberts Bozeman.

Please join us in a celebration of her life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 15, 2023, in Gordon Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. We welcome you to bring a favorite memory to share. Another celebration will be held in the near further in her home state of New York.

Jane was such a bright light in this world, and she always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed being a mom to her five children and taking care of others. She worked for many years as a nurse but enjoyed her time spent with her family and friends the most. She was the life of any party, and she will be deeply missed by anyone who knew her.

She is survived by her four children, Kim Henningsen (Ron), Ken Ketchum, Kyle Ketchum (Virginia), and Kristi Tracey (Fred). She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Paul, Derek, Jon, Lori, Leslie, Lizzie, and Freddie as well as several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Levine Cancer Institute, 1550 Faulk St. Suite 1500, Monroe, NC 28112.
