Jane (Coyle) Smith

Eleanor Jane Smith, 93, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016. She was born in Wellston, Ohio on March 23, 1923, daughter of the late William Coyle and Jesse Collins Coyle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Clayton Smith, Jr. in 1970. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Central United Methodist Church 801 S. Hayne St. Monroe, NC 28112. Private burial will follow in Monroe City Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM in Central Hall. Ms. Smith is survived by her son, Thomas Clayton Smith III and wife, Anne of Maryland; daughters, Vicky Christie of Montgomery, AL, Linda Woody and husband James of Mint Hill and Dottie Smith of Wesley Chapel; sisters, Wilma Dixon of Ohio Irene Thompson, and husband Scott of Ohio; four grandchildren Rani Christie, Jr., Eric Christie, Ashley Friedman, Justin Woody and five great-grandchildren.
