Jason Michael Hinson, 34, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015. He was born in Union County, NC, son of Mike and Debbie Simpson Hinson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Lynda Hinson. Jason was a correctional officer with North Carolina Department of Public Safety at Lanesboro Correctional Institution. He was an Iraqi war veteran with the Army National Guard. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Unionville Baptist Church, 510 Baucom Road, Monroe, NC with burial to follow at Antioch Baptist Church cemetery. The family will visit with friends and relatives beginning at 2:00 - 3:45 PM Sunday prior to the service. In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by his sister, Mandy Hinson Holder and husband Travis; grandparents, Earl Bland and Rosa Sibyl Simpson; niece Jalyn and nephews Tyler and Luke Holder; best friend, his Boxer, Bristol.
