Jason Buren " Corn Cobb" Rushing

Jason Buren “Corn Cobb” Rushing, 86, of Monroe, NC passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. He was born in Union County, NC on February 14, 1938, son to the late Rev. Marvin James Rushing and Alma Benton Rushing. He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Honeycutt Burgess Rushing, brother, James Edsell Rushing and niece, Susan Bell.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Gastonia Memorial Park, 1200 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.

Jason is survived by his sister, Joan Rushing Maddox (James), as well as many nieces and nephews, Ken Rushing (Brenda), Deb Pitt (Bryan), Danny Rushing (Deanna), Randy Rushing (Andra), Lynn Woody, Kim Collins (Dwayne), as well as many great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
