Java (Horne) Rogers

Java Horne Rogers, 88, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2016. She was born July 27, 1927 daughter to the late Gary “Gad” and Blanche Horne. She was one of fourteen children. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Emsley McClain Rogers, whom passed on December 24, 2004. Java was retired from PCA International. She will be sorely missed by her family and all of her friends. Graveside services will be held to honor her life 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 20, 2016 Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112 Java was the mother of three children; Linda McBride, husband H.C.McBride of Monroe, Steven Rogers, wife Mary Sue Rogers of Indian trail and Ricky Rogers, wife Vickie Rogers of Monroe. Java is survived by a sister Mildred Bigham of Waxhaw, seven grandchildren, Windy Boatright, Kimberly Boatright, Masha Seal, Jason McBride, Teria Rogers, Benji Tilley and Amy Duke, thirteen great- grandchildren; Johnathan and Jessica Hartis, Timothy Mills, Kiley and Noah Click, Reece and Tucker Seal, Joshua, Matthew and Madelyn McBride, Ariana Tilley, and Lauren and Kaylee Duke, two great-great-grandchildren, Savannah Hartis and Anna Mills.
