J.B. Stegall

J.B. Stegall, 74, died Saturday, January 26, 2008. He was born March 11, 1933 in Union County son of the late Julian Benton and Pearl Gaddy Stegall. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth Davis Stegall, two brothers Cliston Stegall, Cecil Stegall, and one sister Ruby Helms. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, January 28, 2008 at Prospect United Methodist Church where he was a member. Burial will follow at Midway Baptist Church. Mr. Stegall retired as a Rural Mail Carrier of the USPS. He was survived by his wife Mary Pierce Stegall of the home, two sons Wayne Stegall wife (Marti) of Waxhaw, Richard Stegall wife (Beth) of Wingate, two daughters Betty S. Weycker husband (Mark) of Statesville, Anne S. Sutton husband (Dave) of Monroe; two step-sons Michael Lathan wife (Luanna), Scott Lathan wife (Kathy) all of Monroe, two step daughters Janet Efird husband (Jimmy) Terri McBryde husband (Joseph) all of Monroe, two brothers Jimmy Stegall of Monroe, Ward Stegall of Marshville, two sisters Madeline Rushing of Wingate, Joyce Thomas of Marshville, and eighteen grandchildren.
