Jean (Thompson) Benson

Jean Thompson Benson, 85, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015. She was born April 10, 1930 in Mingo County, WV daughter to the late Frank Roland Oakley McCoy Thompson. She is also preceded in death by her husband Rev. Robert Cecil Benson, a daughter Gwendolyn Benson, three brothers Carl Thompson, Cleve Thompson, and Franklin Delano Thompson, two sisters Francis Slater, and Marilyn Maynard. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 15, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church with visitation to follow. Mrs. Benson is survived by her daughter Jennifer Benton, and husband David, a sister Eleanor Kidwell, grandchildren Ashley Knight, and Brittany Gaskin, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
