Jean Connell (Connell) Helms

Jean Connell Helms, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017. She was born in Union County on March 26, 1929, daughter to the late Walter Eli and Gracie Mae Deese Connell. She is preceded in death by her husband Wriston Pete Lee Helms. Funeral services for Mrs. Helms will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the Secrest Grove Baptist Church, 4505 Weddington Rd. Monroe, NC 28110 with the Rev. Jeff Whitecotton and Rev. Wayne Blanton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Saturday, September 09, 2017 at Secrest Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Helms is survived by three daughters, Linda Jean Laney and her husband Donie of Monroe NC, Nancy Carol Adcock and late husband Walter from Monroe NC, and Kathy Diane Allen and Late husband Randy of Indian Trail NC, seven grandchildren, Chris Laney (Kim), Jamie Laney (Shanda), Walter Adcock Jr. (Tara), Malena Price (Bengie), Paula Kee (Barry), Mitchell Allen, Shana Keziah (Late Travis), 12 great- grandchildren, Kiersten Laney, Drew Laney, Griffin Laney, Will Adcock, Wyatt Adcock, Summer Adcock, Wriston Adcock, Raegan Price, Sawyer Price, Jaxen Laney, Tatelyn Laney, and Billy Kee.
