Jean G. Howey CHARLOTTE - Jean Griffin Howey, 76, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013. She was born in Union County, NC, on July 30, 1937, daughter of the late Corbitt Wilson Griffin and Katherine Hamilton Griffin Helms. The family will receive friends at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC, Wednesday, October 16, 2013, from 12:00 until 1:00 PM followed by the service at 1:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mrs. Howey is survived by her husband, Olin Samuel Howey; son, Olin S. Howey, Jr. of Concord; daughter, Cynthia Jean Howey of Concord; and a grandson, Matthew Blake Howey of Concord.
