Jean (Cox) Meacham

Jean Cox Meacham, 80, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015. She was born in Union County, NC on March 22, 1935 daughter of the late Stanley Moses and Kate Griffin Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted D. Meacham; son, Tony Meacham, brother, Donald Cox; and sister, Dot Richardson. A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 12:30 PM in Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112 prior to the service. Mrs. Meacham is survived by her sons; Stan Meacham of Denver, Colorado and Eric Meacham and wife, Amy of Wilmington; daughter, Alisha Grkman and husband, Jim of Salisbury; brothers, Clinton, Kenneth, Bobby, Jim, Marion and David Cox; sisters, Jane Greene, Carolyn Moore and Kathy Helms; grandchildren, Mark and Amanda Meacham, Zack Grkman, Sidney Grkman, Amanda and Jeremy Connor and Ava Meacham; great-grandchildren, Briar Connor and Brooke Connor; special sister-in-law, Iris Nelson; and special friend Joann Drum.
