Jeffrey “Jeff” Neal Cave, aka, (Caveman) 58, of Marshville passed away on Tuesday July 1, 2025. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Crystal Belle Bender and Garnet “Garn” Borror, father-in-law Billy W. Moore, and brother Ricky Allen Cave.

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Gail Cave, son Chad Jamison Cave, daughter Leah Cave Lutz (Aaron), a brother Christopher Armentrout (Aaron), a sister Heather Armentrout (Kirby), mother Brenda Borror Armentrout, father Forrest Armentrout, mother-in-law Patsy Williams Moore, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Jeff was born in Elkins, WV and is a proud graduate of Elkins High School (Class of 1984). He worked for Pike Electric Corporation for more than 25 years and has spent the last 7 years working for Duke Energy.

Jeff married the love of his life, Patricia Gail, on December 16, 1990. Jeff was a devoted husband and father; nothing was more important to him than his family.

Jeff truly had a servant’s heart and impacted so many people during his time here on Earth. As everyone who knew him can attest, Jeff would do anything to help his family, his friends, or even strangers. He loved to tinker with, repair, and generally “mess around” with anything that would get his hands dirty - always with a song on his lips.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday July 5, 2025, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 5709 Philadelphia Church Rd, Marshville, NC 28103, burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and family following the service in the Family Life Center.
