Dateline: Monroe, NC Jeffrey Allen Whitener, 26, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013. He was born in Union County, NC on January 13, 1987. Jeffrey was an all-around great man. He was a great husband, son, brother, friend and most of all he was the best daddy a little girl could ask for. Anyone that knew him knows that he was a hard worker, that he would do anything for anyone and always got the job done. He was the founder and owner of Izzy’s Welding and Fabrication. Jeffrey enjoyed many things in life such as fishing, snowboarding, hunting, camping, but the one thing he enjoyed the most, was spending time with his wife and their precious little girl Izzy. The family will receive friends Friday, May 10, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Emily Whitener and daughter, Izabell Whitener, of the home, his parents, Linda and Donnie Thomas, sisters, Jennifer Williams and Stephanie Whitener, both of Charlotte, brother, Adam Thomas of Greensboro, maternal grandparents, James and Kathleen Carnahan and maternal great grandmother, Margaret Hutchinson.
