Jerry Carson Carnes

Mr. Jerry Carson Carnes, 77, passed away at home Wednesday, March 4, 2020. He was born in Union County on April 19, 1942 to the late Coleman and Pearl (Plyler) Carnes. He is also preceded in death by his brothers; E. Ray Carnes, James Coleman Carnes and sisters; Mildred Carnes, Elsie Carnes and Doris (Dot) Beaver. A private family memorial service will be held in his honor and at Jerry’s request and in his own words, “there will be no big Hoop-la over my passing.” Please feel free to come by Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory at 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe NC 28112, from 10:00am until 4:00pm Tuesday, March 10, 2020 to sign the register book. Jerry was a business owner and hairstylist in the Monroe area for 60 years. He is survived by his niece, Joyce Bigham and nephews, Johnny Beaver, Randy Carnes, Bobby Beaver and many great nieces and nephews.
