Jerry Lane Gordon

MANNING – Jerry Lane Gordon, 79, died Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at his home. Born March 8, 1941, in Chesterfield, he was a son of the late Thomas David Gordon and the late Frankie Mae Gordon Gordon. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, a truck driver, and a fishing guide. He was the former owner and operator of Gordon’s Tire Service in Monroe, NC. He is survived by his loving and devoted companion, Luna Gordon of Manning; six children, Julia Cribb (Tim) of Concord, NC, Brandon Gordon (Debra) of Marshville, NC, Danielle Conroy (Dave) of Eagle Point, OR, Pamela Smith (Ray) of Troy, NC, Robert Curry (Caroline) of Pikeville, KY and James Curry (Angel) of Pembroke, GA; ten grandchildren; a great granddaughter; two sisters, Linda Rorie (William) of Monroe, NC and Kathy Laney (Danny) of Manning; and six nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Murdoch officiating. A Celebration of Life will also be held at 3:00PM Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7002 Pleasant Hill Church Rd, Marshville, NC 28103. The family would like to extend the invitation for all who knew Jerry to attend this service and if you have a special memory to please share so that the family may also have that memory. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7002 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103. Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory, 304 N.
