Jerry Reese Helms

Jerry R. Helms, 66, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015. He was born October 31, 1949 in Cherokee County, NC son of the late Ward Ola Cook Helms. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 3, 2016 in Gordon Funeral Chapel 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service. Mr. Helms is survived by Janet Helms, three daughters, Terry Mannion, husband Robert of Monroe, Wendy Strait, husband Jason of Waxhaw, and Christy Helms of Monroe, grandchildren Katie Helms, Destini Thomas, and Hailey Mannion, great grandchildren Zoie and Aiden McEwen, brothers Bryan and Doyal Helms, sisters Linda Alexander and Cathy Heffrin.
