Jerry “Steve” Hinson, 89, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022. He was born July 24, 1933, in Union County, son to the late John A. Hinson and Eulalia Little Hinson. Mr. Hinson was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Hinson, daughter, Sherrin Crowell, brothers, Henry Hinson and Victor Hinson, and sister, Beatrice Parker.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM in Crooked Creek Primitive Baptist Church, 7918 Crooked Creek Church Road, Monroe, NC 28110. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends and relatives Monday, December 12, 2022, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.

Steve is survived by his wife, Jeanette Broadway Hinson, sons, Brian (Darlene) Hinson and John (Jamie) Hinson, brother, John Paul Hinson, grandchildren, Sarah James (Thomas), Katie Carlan (Jordan), Matthew Hinson, Jace Hinson, Drake Hinson, Cole Hinson, and Ruthie Hinson, seven great-grandchildren with one more on the away.
