Jerry Lane Baucom

Jerry Lane Baucom, Monroe, NC Jerry Lane Baucom, 55, beloved husband and father, died Monday, October 3, 2005. Lane was born in Union County, NC, January 30, 1950, son of Marie Braswell Baucom Price and the late Lynn Gordon Baucom. Lane was a poultry farmer, US Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, a active member, deacon and treasurer of Mill Creek Baptist Church, an Eagle Scout and active leader in scouting in Union County. Lane was preceded in death by his father and a brother Rodney Lynn Baucom. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2005, at 11:00 AM, in Mill Creek Baptist Church. Burial with military honors will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Lane is survived by his mother Marie Braswell Baucom Price; wife Carol Purser Baucom; son Barry Lane Baucom of Indian Trail, NC; daughter Tanya Baucom Crane of Apex, NC; sister Janet Baucom Helms of Indian Trail, NC and step-brother Gene Price of Monroe, NC. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
