Jewell Lavail Deese

Jewell Lavail Deese, 73, was taken from us Friday, April 3, 2020 to join her mother and father and the only real sister she ever knew, Bernice Montgomery. She is at peace with no more suffering with her God in heaven. Mrs. Deese was born December 14, 1946 in Chester County, SC; daughter of the late Clifford Franklin Griffin and Agnes Morrison. She saw good in everyone. She was full of life and love. She loved her crafts. She especially loved her family, but most of all she loved God. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her children. She will be so greatly missed by us all. Jewell is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joe Deese, of the home; a son, Randy Deese of Wingate, NC; three daughters, Barbara Sellars (Tim) of Marshville, NC, Sherrie Presson (Danny) of Monroe, NC and Sandy Anastaci of Texas; ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held for the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
