Jim Carl Fleenor, 67, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. He was born in Beckley, WV on October 8, 1958, son to the late Jack Elmo Fleenor and Patricia Alderson Fleenor. He is also preceded in death by his two sisters, Patricia “Missy” Rakes, and Janie Savino.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the service at Gordon Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, WV.

Jim was very well loved by his family and friends. He had a big heart and touched many people throughout his life. He was a loveable person and liked having a good time. He loved gatherings with friends and family, fishing, muscle cars, and he was a die-hard West Virginia Mountaineers fan. He loved his dogs AnnaBelle and Murphy. He would do anything for anyone and loved his family dearly. He also enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, and riding his motorcycle. He dearly loved his wife Darlene and did his best to care for her throughout the years. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Jim is survived by his wife, Darlene Houser-Fleenor, two daughters, Jessica Slack and husband Todd, Holly Price, brother Jack Fleenor Jr., four grandchildren, Dakota Slack, Presley Slack, Haley Price and significant other Chase Mullis, Parker Fleenor of Florida, nephews, Shea Fleenor and wife Leslie of Pennsylvania, Brandon Fleenor of West Virginia, Brady Finklea and wife Laurie of Charlotte, along with other nieces and nephews.
