Joan Butler Petrarca, 84, of Monroe, NC passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Joan was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 14, 1940, daughter, of the late George Butler and Marie Haviland Butler.
Joan is survived by her husband of 38 years, together for 40 years, Anthony “Tony” J. Petrarca, her Children, Joan Tropiano (Alfred), Teresa McCabe, James McCabe Jr., Joseph McCabe (Diane), Timothy McCabe (Karen), Thomas McCabe, and Marie McCabe. Joan also leaves behind an impressive legacy in her 18 grandchildren, Neil, Bruce, Stephanie, Sean, Maryanne, Joseph, Laura, Gregory, Jonathan, Matthew, Lindsay, Timothy, Daniel, Riley, Ryan, John, Emma, and Logan, her great-grandchildren, Madalena, Gianna, Avery, Liliana, Jackson, Alex, Liam, Bryce, Abel, Isabella, Oliver, Mason, Charlie, Chase, Emma, and Colin, brothers Ronald and John Butler as well as many nieces and nephews.
Joan is Preceded in death by her two brothers George and Robert Butler.
Relatives and friends are invited to Joan’s Memorial Mass and Visitation on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at St. Martha Church (11321 Academy Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154), visitation 10 A.M. to 11 A.M., with a Memorial Mass beginning at 11 A.M. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan memory may be made to, the Women's Animal Center 3839 Richlieu Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020 formerly known as The Women's Humane Society would be appreciated.
