Joanne Brenda Bartlett, 77, loving mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior January 10, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 22, 1940, daughter of the late Samuel Murray Bain and Charlotte Eckenroth Bain. She retired from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Health Department. Joanne has been a member of Mineral Springs UMC for many years. Joanne is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, James Arthur Bartlett; her parents Samuel and Charlotte; and three brothers Avram, Russell and Joseph. Joanne is survived by her daughter, Susan Bartlett Still and her husband Mark Still of Braselton, GA and son, Joseph Joey Bartlett and his wife Brooke Bartlett of Monroe, NC. Joanne has five grandchildren whom she loved and adored, Kayla, Tanner, Grant, Martin and Olivia. The family will receive friends Friday, January 12, 2018 from 5-7pm at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday January 13, 2018 at 2pm in Mineral Springs United Methodist Church, Mineral Springs NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
