Dateline: Barnwell, SC Joe Neil Dunegan, Sr., 80, passed away February 7, 2012. He was born in Batesville, Arkansas on August 17, 1931 son of the late Buster and Catherine Givens Dunegan. Mr. Dunegan was predeceased by his wife, Minnie Ellen Plattenburger Dunegan, his step-father, John Louie Gobble and only brother, Gerald Dunegan. Mr. Dunegan was a US Army veteran. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC. The family will receive friends following the graveside. Mr. Dunegan is survived by sons, Larry and Steven Dunegan, of Charlotte, NC, Donald Dunegan of Waxhaw, NC, Ricky Dunegan of Barnwell, SC and Joe Dunegan, Jr., of N.
