Joe Neal Keziah, 78, passed away March 24, 2021. He was born June 12,1942 in Union County, son of the late Payne Keziah and Velma Crump Keziah. Funeral service for Joe will be 1:00 pm Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church, 1106 W. Sandy Ridge Rd, Monroe, NC 28112 with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. A restaurateur for twelve years, Joe was the co-founder of the first Waffle House franchise in North Carolina. He owned Keziah Lawn Care and also worked for Union County Public School System. He was a dedicated member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. Joe is survived by his loving wife of thirty eight years, Frances Keziah; son, Robert Payne Keziah of China Grove; daughter Pamela Killian, husband Jerry of Rockwell, NC; three sisters, Betty Rippy, of Clayton, NC, Faye Chasteen, of Bolivia, NC and Pat Legg Keziah, of Belmont, NC; six grandchildren, Travis Keziah, Trevor Keziah, Christine Killian, Katie McMillan, Cory Killian and Cody Killian and also seven great-grandchildren.
