Mr. Joel Swinson, 84, of Monroe, NC, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017. He was born August 21, 1932, in Dublin County, NC so to the late Jobe Sally Swinson. He is also preceded in death by her loving wife Irene Price Swinson. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 4316 Hillcrest Church Road, Monroe, NC 28110. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Swinson is survived by three sons; Joey Swinson of Monroe, Danny Swinson of Indian Trail, and Randy Swinson of Monroe, two brothers; George Swinson, and Titus Swinson, a sister Isbella Swinson, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 4316 Hillcrest Church Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
