John Charles Clarkson, 85, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016. He was born in Quincy, Illinois on March 1, 1931 son of the late John William and Mae Abbott Clarkson. Mr. Clarkson is survived by his sons, Steve and Kevin Clarkson; grandchildren, Joanne and Andrew and great grandson, Dathan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Failing Clarkson. The family will receive friends Friday, May 13, 2016 from 12:00 until 1:30 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
