John Calvin Gordon

Mr. John Calvin Gordon, 75, of Monroe, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020. He was born in Union County on April 28, 1944 to the late Albert and Clara Massey Gordon. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife Brenda Griffin Gordon. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Monday, February 17, 2020 at Waxhaw City Cemetery. Calvin is survived by his children; Todd Gordon (Kim), Scott Gordon and Mark Gordon (Teresa), and Sonya Griffin, eight grandchildren; J.T. Gordon, Cody Gordon, Ethan Gordon, Rylie Gordon, Kristen Gordon, Ashlyn Hutchinson, Taylor Fortson and Timmy Griffin, one great grandchild, Lilian Comacho, brother Craven Gordon, and sister Doris McManus as well as a very special friend Brenda Rushing. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until 5:00pm on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC 28110.
