John C. Howell, age 78, of Clarksville, TN passed away September 17, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He is the son of the late Joseph and Thelma Howell. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Frances and brothers, Joe Howell and David Howell. Graveside services with Military honors will be held 11:00AM Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Lakeland Memorial Park 1901 Lancaster Hwy., Monroe, NC 28110. John was born on April 1, 1943 in Electra, Texas. He retired from the United States Army after 30 years’ service. Later, he received his degree in criminal justice and was head of security at various companies in North Carolina and Kentucky. He loved bass fishing tournaments and his K-9 companion Missy. He was also a long time Mason in the Creasy Proctor Lodge in Fayetteville, NC. John is survived by his daughters, Gayle (David) Devol, Debi Grodzicki, and Tammy Ouimet; grandchildren, Jimmy (Jen) Burns, Kary (Harley) Bailey, Stacy Thomas, Melissa Grodzicki, Brad (Alisha) McIntosh, Christina McIntosh, John McIntosh, Jordan Ouimet, AJ Ouimet; and seven great-grandchildren.
