John Alexander Morrison

April 8, 1944 — March 17, 2017

John (Jack) Alexander Morrison, Sr., 72 passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017. Jack was born in Union County, NC April 8, 1944, first of two children born to the late Claude Alexander Morrison and Mae Marsh Morrison. He was also preceded in death on January 20, 2017 by his loving wife of 49 years, Elizabeth (Libby) Howie Morrison and in 2009 by his precious grandson, Luke. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Howie Morrison of Destin, FL; a son, John Alexander Morrison, Jr. and wife Jill along with his beloved granddaughter, Logan. His is also survived by his brother, Alex Morrison and wife, Pang of Anchorage, AK. Jack was an expert in the insulation industry for over 35 years. He owned several successful companies over the years and thoroughly enjoyed what he did for a living. His favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing and fast cars. Jack was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monroe. The family finds solace in the fact that he is reunited with his soul mate, Libby. In lieu of a service the family will hold visitation at Jack and Libby’s residence on Sunday, March 19, 2017 between 1-5 pm. Please call (850) 376-3874 if you would like the address.
