John "Barry" Woolford, Sr., 60, of Waxhaw, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019. He was born June 2, 1959 a son to John Henry Woolford, Jr. and Joyce Martin Merritt. Barry was a hard worker, loving father, loving grandfather and a caring son. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, November 29, 2019 in the Gordon Funeral Chapel 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC with burial to follow in the Waxhaw Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends and family following the burial in Mineral Springs United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. In addition to his parents, Barry is survived by three children, Leann Christensen and her husband Kasey of Washington State, John Woolford, Jr. of Waxhaw, Sam Woolford and his Nicole of York, SC, two brothers, Clayton Woolford and his wife Beth of Monroe, Wayne Woolford and his wife Jeanette of Monroe, a sister, Janey Parker and five grandchildren.
