John Neal Yarbrough

John Neal Yarbrough passed away Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023 with his sister Linda Yarbrough Rousseau by his side at her home in Lancaster, SC.

John was the son of the late John Ransom Yarbrough and Claudia McGuirt Yarbrough of Waxhaw NC, who loved their two children more than life itself.

John had a happy childhood growing up in Waxhaw. He graduated from Parkwood High School in 1980. As a teenager and young adult, he enjoyed playing tennis and golf.

Later he moved to the Charlotte area. For a time, he was a truck driver for Yellow Freight, then worked for Royal Cab often driving DSS Patients to their medical appointments.

John is also preceded in death by grandparents Mat P.Yarbrough and Mary Billue Yarbrough of Waxhaw, and grandparents Clayde Ezelle McGuirt and Christine Watts McGuirt of Union Co.

John is survived by his sister Linda Yarbrough Rousseau, brother-in-law Donald G. Rousseau Jr., cousins Tim McGuirt, Paul Aycoth, lifelong friend Gloria Mcwhorter Pegram, his Aunt Bertha Younts, Aunt Laura Yow, and many other special cousins and friends in Union Co.

Johnny (as friends and relatives called him) always had a kind and very polite greeting for everyone he met. He will be missed so very much.
