John “Mac” Yow, 73, of Shallotte, NC passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026. He was born in Wilmington, NC on January 8, 1953, son to the late Hoyle Lee Yow and Eloise Jones Yow. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Teresa Taylor Yow, brother, Pete Yow and sister, Martha Yow.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, July 30, 2026, in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, with burial to follow at Walkersville Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 6204 Brady Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00PM until 1:45PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Mac is survived by his son, Austin Liles (Jessica), three grandchildren, Allie, Ella, Austyn, brother Gary Yow, and sister Sandra Yow.
