Johnnie Rape Preslar

Johnnie Rape Preslar, 85, of Monroe, NC passed away Friday, September 29, 2023. She was born in Iredell County, NC on February 25, 1938. Daughter of the late John Albert Rape and mother, Louise Rape Helms. She is also proceeded in death by her husband, Shirley Robert Preslar, brother, Arnold Helms, and sister, Ruth Rape Belk.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.

Johnnie is survived by her daughter, Roberta Preslar Dale of Waxhaw; her son, Mitchell R. Preslar, and wife, Joyce of New Salem; four grandchildren, Serena Preslar, husband, Luis Jimenez, Matthew Preslar, and wife, Rebecca, Robert Vann Dale III, and wife, Kristi Isaacs Dale, Brian Dale and wife, Elizabeth and six great-grandchildren, Kathryn Dale, Victoria Dale, Brooklynn Dale, C.J. Fenoff, Colin Fish and Katelyn Fish.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider making memorials to Cornerstone Community Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 2707 Secrest Shortcut Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
