Johnny Ray Privett

Johnny Ray Privett, 67, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024. He was born in Union County, NC on January 20, 1957, to the late J.B. Privett and Elizabeth Yow.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, 3:00 PM, at New Salem Baptist Church, 2915 Goldmine Rd. Monroe, NC, 28110 with Pastor Douglas Rumley officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the church.

Johnny was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors, sports, and spending time with his family. He was married to the love of his life, Diane for 39 years. He worked at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry as a utility worker for 40 years.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Linda “Diane” Privett, his two sons, Tim Privett of Myrtle Beach, and Dale Privett of Monroe, his two brothers, Mike Privett (Brenda) of Monroe, and Jimmy Privett (Deborah) of Reidsville, and his three grandchildren; Samantha, Nicholas, and Cam, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
