Joseph Harold Hinson

Dateline: Monroe, NC Joseph Harold Hinson, 76, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006, following a brief illness. He was born in Union County, NC on July 1, 1929, son of the late Grover and Velma Williams Hinson. Mr. Hinson was a retired machinist from Yale Norton and farmer. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 28, 2006 at 2:00 PM in Hillcrest Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents and a great grandchild, River Clyde Price. Mr. Hinson is survived by his wife, Colene Rushing Hinson, son, Larry Harold Hinson of Monroe, daughters, Ann McMicking and husband Bruce of Monroe, Linda Colene Price and husband Dennis of Sylva, brothers, Duell, Hilton, Dwight, Don Wayne Hinson, all of Monroe, sisters, Colon Pope and Cathryn Medlin, both of Monroe and Ruth Hyatt of Charlotte, grandchildren, Eric Phillips, Greg Phillips, Shannon Price, Jeremy Price, Jamie Hinson, Julie Turner, Sandy Tomberlin and Andy Williams, great grandchildren, Jarred Hinson, Josh Hinson, Preston Turner and Karmyn Tomberlin. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe.
