Joshua "Josh" David Chapman

Joshua “Josh” David Chapman, 36, of Union County, NC passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024. He was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on December 3, 1987. He is preceded  in death by his maternal grandparents, Tom “Tex” Bates and Doris Reed Bates, as well as his cousin, Chandler Williams.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 120 Potter Road South, Monroe, NC 28110, with burial to follow in church cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Josh is survived by his father, David Bryon Chapman (Sabrina) and his mother, Julie Bates Batease (Brian), brothers, Thomas Chapman and Jordan Chapman; sister, Jessica Chapman, paternal grandparents, David and Judy Chapman, Aunts, Crystal Chapman and Dee Dee Williams; cousins, Marinah Johnson, Derek Sutton.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to a local Humane Society of the donor’s choice, or Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Cemetery Fund, PO Box 2524, Monroe, NC 28111-2524.
