Joshua Neil Shrum, 28, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008. He was born in Mecklenburg County on May 24, 1979 son of Mary Joanna Martin and Rick Dean Shrum. He was an employee of Harris-Teeter. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Southbrook Community Church. The family will receive friends at the church following the service from 11:00 until 12:00. Joshua is survived by his father, Rick D. Shrum and wife Andrea of Mineral Springs, mother, Joanna Martin of Belmont, wife, Jennifer Werth Shrum, son, Dalton Shrum, and brothers, Caleb Shrum of Belmont and Greg Shrum of Mineral Springs, grandparents, Madge Martin of Belmont and Don Cheryl Wilkins of Monroe.
