Joyce Eleanor (Poole) Brown

Joyce Eleanor Brown, 90, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016. She was born in London, England on February 28, 1926 daughter of the late Daniel Christopher and Hilda Maud Paddick Poole. She was preceded in death by her husband William Boyd Brown. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 25, 2016 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Monroe, NC. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parrish Hall of the church. Mrs. Brown is survived by a son, Peter Brown and wife Mary Kay of Monroe, daughter, Carolina Susan Brown of Charlotte, a brother, Douglas Charles Poole of San Antonio, Texas, grandchildren, Jennifer Estevez and William Brown, 2 great grandchildren, Mauricio Angel Estevez and Tyler Aden Estevez. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Altar Guild, 116 S. Church St., Monroe, NC 28112 or St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, Altar Guild, 1510 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
