Joyce Elaine (Moore) Nash

Joyce Moore Nash, 69, passed away Monday, December 1, 2014. She was born in Mecklenburg County July 14, 1945, daughter of the late Joseph Thomas and Frances Blythe Moore. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Moore. She was a dedicated church worker at Heath Memorial United Methodist Church, where she served as church historian and was instrumental in the restoring of the church. She enjoyed needlework, her pets, BJ and Scarlett, and loved the Thursday lunches. She worked in the legal field and had been married to Parks for 50 years in June, 2014. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Heath Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 12:30 - 1:45 PM prior to the funeral service. From Highway 75, turn on Rehobeth Road, then right on Richardson King. The church is at the end of Richardson King Road. She is survived by her husband, Parks Nash, Jr.; son, C.J.; sisters-in-law Ann Moore and Mary Marshall Nash; niece, Jennifer Hartley and nephew, Joseph Moore III.
