Judith Mullis Bailey

Mrs. Judith Ann Mullis Bailey, 78 of Lancaster, SC passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020. She was born in Union County on November 5, 1941 to the late Joel Van Mullis and Manie Simpson Mullis. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Donna Mullis Gardner. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 24, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial to follow in Lancaster Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00pm until 1:45pm at the funeral home. Judith was a loving child of God, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to travel, read, garden and going fishing, Her favorite past times include, playing solitaire, attending ball games and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a quickly forgiving soul, fought long and hard during her years on earth; she survived even when Doctors had given up on her. She bounced back and continued on. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Mr. Robert Bailey, daughter Angela Bailey Adams, three grandchildren; Derrick Adams (Kaytlyn), Kendall Adams (Kristian), Amanda Adams (Robert Parker II), seven great grandchildren; Shane Adams, Zachary Adams, Wyatt Adams, Brynlee Adams, Robert Parker III, Deklan Adams and Zane Parker, one sister, Gail Baucom (Joe) of Monroe and four brothers; Rodney Mullis (Pam), Woody Mullis (Shelby), Randy Mullis (Darlene) and Tony Mullis (Sharon), two brother in-laws, James Samuel Bailey (Jean) and Cecil M. Bailey (Jean) as well as many nieces and nephews, and her beloved pets Sandy and Baby. Memorials may be made in her honor to An Animal Rescue of their choice, The National Kidney Foundation or McWhorter Hospice House of Monroe.
