Karen Ormond Griffin, 68, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026. She was born in Union County, NC on August 27, 1957, daughter to Phyllis Simpson Monda and the late Melton Duean Ormond.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2518 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112, with burial to follow at Price Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM in the church sanctuary.

Karen is survived by her husband of fifty years, Warren Neal Griffin; daughter, Brooke Chisamore and husband Josh; brother, Doug Ormond; sister, Amy Ormond; granddaughter, Aubree Chisamore; and her precious fur baby, Zoey.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Atrium Health Transplant Center, 7800 Providence Road, Suite 208 Charlotte, NC 28226 designated to the Atrium Health Transplant Fund.
