Dateline: Monroe Mrs. Karen “Kay” Roess – Monroe Mrs. Karen Roess, loving mother, wonderful wife and creative artist, passed on May 18, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Dr. William B. Roess; her children, Jeffery Roess, Nancy Brightwell, Kenneth Roess, and Tracy Pribble; and four grandchildren Michael Roess, Lindsey Roess, Cory Hicks and Christopher Hicks. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2013 in Mount Carmel United Methodist Church 1712 Carmel Church Rd. Monroe, NC 28112.
