Karen White

Karen passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2009 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born February 27, 1951 in Framingham, Massachusetts, Karen was the youngest daughter of Dominic and Margaret Dotalo. She moved to the south to pursue her career in financial management in 1981. She took a position with National Computer Systems. She met and married the love of her life Greg White in Atlanta, Georgia in 1984. They later moved to Charlotte, NC where Karen pursued her career with Broadway and Seymour and returned to her first love, equestrian sports. In 1998 she and her husband Greg bought 14 acres of land in Monroe, NC where they created Desert Dream Equestrian Center. It was a boarding and training facility where many riders and horses came to be loved and pampered by Karen and her husband. The friends and family of Karen White will participate in a final tribute to her and “Celebration of Her Life” at the Monroe farm, 329 Rocky River Road N. on Saturday, July 11th at 11:00AM. Karen is survived by her husband Greg, and a sister, Doreen. Gordon Funeral Cremation Service is caring for the White family.
